Ostensibly, this blog is a guide to help you find gifts for your girlfriend. But let's be honest. It's actually a wish list. A not so subtle way for us to share valuable information with these boys we love so much, but who can be so clueless when it comes to a romantic gift. So before we even start posting about the kinds of gifts we'd like to receive, there are a few basic things for all you smart men to remember when you are looking for a perfect gift got your girlfriend.
1. Remember your anniversary - this includes those of you who are not married.
2. Remember holidays - plan ahead and look for clues about what your girlfriend may want for valentines day, etc. Chances are she has dropped some hints, so pay attention.
3. Surprise her, just because it isn't her birthday, or a holiday, surprising her with a small gesture will always go a long way.

5. Know her shoe size.
6. If you messed up, and I mean really messed up, go straight to Tiffany, do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not read this blog, go straight to Tiffany. Even if you are not rich (and believe or not they actually have a section with gifts under $100), a small gift in that blue box has magical powers.
